Helpful answers

Google Pixel Unlock questions

Is this the same as unlocking the Pixel screen?

No. A network unlock removes an eligible carrier restriction. It does not remove a PIN, pattern, password or Google Factory Reset Protection.

Will the Pixel work with every carrier afterward?

Not necessarily. The new network must support the device model, bands, SIM or eSIM configuration and regional compatibility.

Does a network unlock change blacklist status?

No. Carrier unlocking and IMEI blacklist status are separate. Check the IMEI before buying or moving a used device.

Choose the right device service

Use the service that matches the device and lock type. Network unlocking does not remove passcodes, account locks or blacklist records.
